What are you going to do as a Trade Compliance Specialist?
Enza Zaden breeds, produces and sells vegetable seed in over 100 countries around the world. As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you help guarantee compliance with import and export regulations in these markets, while ensuring alignment with our company policies and procedures.
In this position you will proactively gather relevant legislation and regulations, analyse them, and support their implementation within the organisation. Since Trade Compliance topics impact the company in numerous ways, you will interact with colleagues in various departments not only in the Netherlands, but also globally.
Regulations can change quickly and have a major impact on market access, making this work dynamic and diverse. You will report to the Trade Compliance Manager and assist in incidents involving regulatory matters.

Your strong analytical and organisational skills enable you to process large amounts of information. Your flexible mindset allows you to switch between tasks when needed. Thanks to your excellent written and verbal communication skills, you connect easily with people on multiple levels. You enjoy working with a diverse group of stakeholders of different nationalities.
You take end-to-end responsibility and have the ability to manage various information streams. You continuously strive to improve the processes and tools with which you work and are comfortable making suggestions for improvement. In addition, you have a strong affinity for ethics and compliance.
In short, you:
- have a Master’s degree in Agriculture, Legal, Business or related field;
- are fluent in English and Dutch;
- are familiar with reading and interpreting legal texts;
- have strong organisational, communication and planning skills;
- are detail-oriented and have excellent analytical skills.

Enza Zaden is a vegetable breeding company that develops vegetable varieties. We produce and sell the seeds of these varieties all over the world. Both for conventional and organic growers. In order to explain this properly (and as briefly as possible) we have made an animation.
For more than 80 years we are working with the best that nature offers. We support this with state-of-the-art technologies to speed up our breeding process. That is really necessary, because currently the development of a new vegetable variety takes up 6 to 10 years.
