Vacancy Sales Account Manager – Amersfoort

Gebana is the largest fair-trade company in Switzerland and well established in the organic and fair-trade market and right now they are seeking a Sales Account Manager to join their team. Gebana is changing the rules, going for more sustainability, more equality and great quality at affordable prices, all while maintaining a high focus on organic and fair-trade products. They do this by not only buying from farmers in developing countries and providing the shortest chain from farm to the client. They also make sure the farmers get a fair price by turning the standard pricing model upside down.


Function

We are looking for a qualified Sales Account Manager to join Gebana’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with new and existing customers and overseeing several big sales accounts. The Sales Account Manager must work towards meeting customer needs and requests, respond to customer inquiries and provide a positive customer experience. Most importantly, you will be developing Gebana’s business by building successful and long-term relationships with several partners.

The biggest responsibilities in this role are:

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
  • Developing positive relationships with clients
  • Acting as the point of contact and handle customers tailor-made needs
  • Generating new business using existing and potential customer networks
  • Resolving conflicts and providing solutions to customers in a timely manner
  • Managing account representatives to ensure sales increase
  • Report and document on the status of accounts and transactions
  • Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
  • Monitor quarterly sales results
  • Design and write out annual sales strategy and forecast
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance
  • Identify opportunities for growth

Requirements

The perfect candidate for this role needs to meet the following criteria:

  • BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
  • 4 years of work experience as a Sales Account Manager or Sales Account Executive
  • Hands-on experience in sales and an ability to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with fair trade and organic products
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Independent working attitude
  • An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
  • Affinity with sustainability
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Great focus on negotiation and customer service
